Currently working as a school nurse for Denver Public School in one of Denver’s inner city culturally diverse school. Retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs in 2019 as the Barcode Medication Administration Coordinator. In 2013, retired from the U. S Navy Reserves as a Navy Nurse Corps Officer and earned the rank of Captain. Actively volunteers for the Mile Hi Veterans and coordinated health education presentations. Also, a member of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses, Denver Chapter.

She has two daughters and six grandchildren and one great grandchild and another one expected in December. In her spare time she enjoys her family and values connecting with friends. Also, enjoys nature walks in the beautiful Colorado mountains.
