DeAnna Rumsey received her B.S. in Occupational Therapy from Boston University, completed a certificate in Latino Health and is a current candidate for a Masters in Public Health from the Colorado School of Public Health. During her 25 years in healthcare, DeAnna has been honored to work in a variety of areas including hospitals, schools, community clinics and tribal lands. She has worked with all populations including people experiencing mental health challenges and substance use disorders. She is passionate about supporting people to live independent lives with health and dignity. DeAnna is currently working as a Community Organizing Specialist at The Independence Center located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she focuses on crafting equitable public policies and supporting advocacy both on a systemic and individual level.
