Dr. Erin Donovan
Dr. Donovan began her nursing career in 2011 when she earned her Associate of Science in Nursing. She continued her nursing education, earning her BSN in 2012, MSN in 2014, and Doctorate of Education in 2018, all from College of Saint Mary in Omaha, Nebraska. The focus of her clinical practice is in critical access and she believes high-quality student experiences are critical for patient health and safety. Currently, Dr. Donovan serves as an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, CO. She teaches research, evidence-based practice, leadership and management across nursing programs (BSN, RN to BSN, MSN, DNP). Dr. Donovan collaborates with area health organizations on evidence-based practice and nurse residency programs in the clinical setting. Her current scholarship includes evaluation of Doctor of Nursing Practice scholarly projects, use of simulated virtual tabletop exercises in graduate education, faculty development in simulation, and motivation of a spirit of inquiry in undergraduate nursing students.
