Speaker Bio
Lynn began her nursing career in 1989 after earning her BSN from South Dakota State University. She went on to earn her MSN in 2014 from Colorado Mesa University. The focus of her clinical practice in nursing are Trauma, Burn, and Cardiac ICU, Interventional Radiology, Gastroenterology, and Employee Health. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction CO where she teaches Nursing Informatics, Leadership and Management, and simulation for an advanced medical-surgical course. In addition to teaching, she serves as the Clinical Education Center Coordinator. She has assisted with the growth of the Simulation Center as well as developing new flexible skills labs for additional student learning opportunities. Lynn’s passion is to promote realism in simulation and classroom settings to ensure safe and high-quality nursing care of our future nurses. She is actively involved with the Colorado Simulation Collaborative, Sigma, the local Student Nurses Association, and works with community organizations to help ship medical supplies overseas.
