Kelley Kovar is the Chief Nursing Officer at Littleton Adventist Hospital. She has served in progressive nursing leadership roles within two health systems over the last 20 years. Kelley completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Executive Leadership at Regis University in 2020. She currently holds two nursing certifications: Nurse Executive Board Certified (NE-BC) and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN). Kelley is passionate about education and mentoring of nursing professionals throughout their careers. She serves on two community boards: Arapahoe Community College Advisory Board and Denver Teachers Awards Board. Kelley has served on numerous planning committees for the Colorado Center for Nursing Excellence, including the HRSA grant for leadership development, 80% BSN at the bedside by 2020 and the original 40 under 40 committee. Kelley has supported nursing leadership at a sister Adventist hospital in Nepal through Global Health Initiatives. This past year proved challenging in a new Chief Nursing Officer role, leading Littleton Adventist Hospital to their first Magnet designation and working through the Covid-19 pandemic. Kelley is looking forward to hope and new positive health care growth in 2021.
