Interprofessional co-leadership is a model that focuses on intentional partnering across professions to harness complimentary skillsets for problem solving in healthcare settings. Co-leaders can positively influence staff engagement, decrease turnover, and stabilize healthcare settings in times of change. We will provide examples of our own professional experiences of the successes and challenges of leadership, and discuss how to obtain institutional buy-in for this leadership model.
